of Aviation Undergraduate Programs
Shelly Ainsworth joined the Aviation Undergraduate Programs Office in September 2005. She began her academic counseling career in the summer of 1998 where she served as an academic counselor in the Michael F. Price College of Business Undergraduate Programs Office for four years.
Prior to becoming an academic counselor, Shelly worked in a variety of capacities in the mental health field including: Americorps program coordinator for a state-wide child abuse prevention program, drug and alcohol educator/counselor, student assistance program manager for a number of schools in central Oklahoma, and juvenile shelter counselor. She earned a bachelor's degree from East Central University in human services counseling and a master’s in human relations from the University of Oklahoma. She is an active member of both the Oklahoma Academic Advising Association (OACADA) and the Provost's Advisory Committee on Academic Advising (PACAA).
Talisha Teague joined the Aviation Undergraduate Programs Office in May 2013. Earning a degree from San Francisco State University (B.A.), Talisha followed her grandmother’s footsteps as a teacher for the Stockton Unified School District in Stockton, CA for 5 years. Wanting to pursue a Masters Degree in Education, Talisha decided to move to Oklahoma and graduated from Langston University with her M.Ed. degree while working as a GEAR UP Counselor for Oklahoma City Public Schools.
In 2007, Talisha started her OU career as an advisor for the Price College of Business before moving to Aviation. While not advising, she also teaches as an adjunct instructor for Freshman Programs and is an active member for the Oklahoma Academic Advising Association. (OACADA)
